SRM X-Power Road Cleats

The SRM X-Power cleat system has been developed to complement the reduced-stack X-Power Pedal platform. By relocating the retention mechanism rearward, the cleat contributes to a lower overall stack height and improves power transmission. This design increases shoe-to-pedal surface engagement, supporting a more stable pedalling motion and enhancing control.

SRM four-hole mounting

To achieve this configuration, the cleat uses a four-hole mounting pattern that is currently compatible only with the Q36.5 Unique Pro Road Shoe. Constructed from PA612 composite reinforced with 20 percent glass fibre, each cleat also features a rubber walking surface. Float options are available in 0°, ±1.2° and ±3°, allowing riders to fine-tune fit and knee alignment.

X-Power Efficient Force Transfer

Weighing just 53 g including screws, the cleat system is designed to enhance biomechanics, especially in combination with shorter crank lengths. By lowering the rider’s centre of gravity, the system supports improved bike handling, stability during descents and a more connected pedalling sensation during high-power efforts.
