The Specialized Crux DSW Frameset is the lightest alloy gravel frame ever made, bringing the performance of the carbon Crux into aluminium with patented D’Aluisio Smartweld technology. The result is a capable, nimble and responsive gravel machine designed for fast, fun and high performance riding.

At just 1,399 g for the frame, the Crux DSW sets a new benchmark for alloy gravel bikes. Paired with a FACT 12r Crux carbon fork and a performance-focused build, a complete Crux DSW weighs only 9.37 kg, making it the world’s lightest alloy gravel bike.

Capable Specialized Crux clearance

Matching its carbon sibling, the Crux DSW offers clearance for 47 mm tyres or up to 2.1” with 650b wheels. This combination of toughness, low weight and versatility makes it ready for the roughest gravel at full gas.

Responsive Crux handling

D’Aluisio Smartweld technology fine-tunes alloy to deliver a ride quality once thought impossible without carbon. With performance gravel geometry and a race-inspired fit, the Crux DSW balances nimble responsiveness with stability. Specialized D’Aluisio Smartweld innovation

Smartweld engineering uses hydroforming to precisely match tube joints for stronger welds and a lighter frame. On the Crux DSW, this creates a unique one-piece downtube and bottom bracket, reducing weight and amplifying responsiveness while doubling durability compared to traditional alloy frames.
