The Zipp 454 NSW Carbon Front Wheel is engineered as the ultimate choice for road racing. Built to meet the demands of performance cyclists, it offers aerodynamic efficiency and stability across all wind conditions.
With a wide internal rim designed for tubeless tyres at lower pressures, the 454 NSW reduces rolling resistance and absorbs vibration, preserving rider energy on long and fast rides. For the best combination of aerodynamic performance and low rolling resistance, a 28mm tyre is recommended.
The rim features Zipp’s unique 58mm Sawtooth profile with Hyperfoils, delivering the brand’s most aerodynamic and stable ride. Integrated into the wheelset is Zipp’s Total System Efficiency approach, which targets wind resistance, gravity, rolling resistance and vibration losses to enhance overall speed.
Zipp’s hookless rim design ensures a smoother transition between tyre and rim, improving aerodynamic flow. The hookless format also enables more efficient resin distribution, creating lighter and stronger wheels. The 454 NSW includes the high-performance ZR1 SL hubset with ceramic bearings. This hubset is 30 grams lighter than previous NSW models, enhancing both responsiveness and durability.
